Tearfull Tuesday

My heart is heavy today as I viewed the memorial Service along with Millions of other people around the world. I couldn’t help but shed a few tears. I continued to cry off and on as I even thought about the fact that he actually is gone.  I flash back to when I was very young and heard that the Other King had died. That being Elvis Presley. I can not help but think there is a tiny part of me that thinks once again, that he could have fabricated his own death, just to have some peace and quiet.  Hey, It’s Possible isn’t it?  Some serious acting could have taken place. When you put that thought in your head and go back and look at some of the  out-takes from today, they fit.  But, that would take someone who was thinking more of themselves than they did of others. It would take a selfish so & so to pull that off. Michael, was by far, not that person.  He was so low keyed, soft spoken, truly not an aggressor.  Have you seen him, angry or yelling at anyone, ever? The most aggressive, I , have ever seen him was in his Thriller Music Video. If anyone can remember anytime he was angry or upset, please share a comment with us, because I just can’t think of any.

My thought on his Children? 12-year-old Michael Joseph Jr., known as Prince Michael; 11-year-old Paris-Michael; and 7-year-old Prince Michael II, known as Blanket, First thing that comes to mind was the lack of emotions shown by them during the memorial service. The 12 yr old, chomped eagerly away on probably bubble gum, with a strange lack of emotion on his face. Blanket, the 7 yr old, clutched a program and a MJ> Doll, had  fear and sadness in his eyes. Now to Paris, the beautiful 11 yr old Princess.  Yes, there was the little heart-wrenching speech at the end . But, I hate to say, but it seemed a little, less than real. It seemed as if there were forced tears, and the Aunts seemed to be a little “overly” attentive.  I am  in no way saying that they are faking anything. But, something just did not seem right, and I can’t quite put my finger on what it is?

Paris Breaks Down

Paris Breaks Down

I feel that the children’s mother, Debbie Rowe is only talking about gaining custody of the Children, because she would no longer continue to get the something like $900,000 a year to live on.  She gave birth to those children for Michael, not his Family. And now that he is gone, she is giving thought to claiming them.  I has been rumored that money is the driving force as to how much she will or will not be in the picture anymore.  When you listen to her talk about Jackson, she  never talks about him in the slightest derogatory way. She had nothing but genuine respect for him. She stated that when she gave birth to the first two children, it was Michael that nurtured and raised the children. She never changed diapers or got up in the middle of the night with them. It was all Daddy, who raised and protected them.  (Which, I wonder how he would feel that they are so much out in the open and visible. Being on the stage before millions to see.)

I also wonder where some others are that were such important factors in Jackson’s life.  Where was Oprah?, why is it just OK to send a note? This is what Diana Ross did as her letter was read by Smokey Robinson at the beginning of the ceremony. She did state however, that if the children needed her, she would be there for them.

“I am trying to find closure, I want you to know that even though I am not there at the Staples Center. I am there in my heart. I have decided to pause and be silent. This feels right for me. Michael was a personal love of mine, a treasured part of my world, part of the fabric of my life in a way that I can’t seem to find words to express. Michael wanted me to be there for his children, and I will be there if they ever they need me. I hope, today brings closure for all those who loved him. Thank you Katherine and Joe for sharing your son with the world and with me. I send my love and condolences to the Jackson family.” – Diana Ross

This is possibly in reference to the fact that Michael had petitioned the court, that if in the event of his demise, if his Mother Katherine Jackson, was either unwilling or unable to raise the three children, that he had named her, Diana Ross to take over the custody of the Children.  Elizabeth Taylor just posted on Twitter that she didn’t want to get involved in all the “Public Whoopla”

She also stated that she “Might not be coherent enough”, or “How I feel is private and Michael would not want me to share my grief with Millions”. She adds that her

“Love goes out to Katherine and his Beloved Children” Again, no matter what your perception is of these statements, it is more than anyone has heard from Oprah.

Michael Jackson Public Memorial Service

Michael Jackson Public Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2009, 1:00 PM EST at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.  The family stated “It was our wish to allow as many of Michael’s fans to be a part of the memorial, and we wish to thank everyone for their support and understanding at this difficult time,”. It will be broadcast on many media outlets. Even now, the night before, VH-1 is running a bulletin along the bottom of the screen stating there there will be live coverage with no commercials3w

The Jackson family today announced the participants for the Michael Jackson memorial at the Staples Center:

Ron Boyd (family friend); Kobe Bryant; Mariah Carey; Andrae Crouch; Berry Gordy; Jennifer Hudson; Shaheen Jafargholi (finalist on Britain’s Got Talent); Magic Johnson; Martin Luther King III; Bernice A. King; John Mayer; Lionel Richie; Smokey Robinson; Rev. Al Sharpton; Brooke Shields; Pastor Lucious Smith (family friend); Usher; and Stevie Wonder.

I sure hope that the public will remember the meaning of this ceremony and not go star struck  because of  all the celebrities that will be in attendance and turn this into a circus of the Stars.
